Embark on a rewarding journey as a dedicated Occupational Therapist supporting K-12 students throughout the 2026/2027 academic year on a flexible, part-time contract basis. This position, conveniently located near New Castle, CO, provides the opportunity to positively influence student development and success across a diverse caseload, while working 20 hours per week.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active and valid Occupational Therapy license within Colorado (or eligible to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting, working with K-12 students, is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals
- Skilled in electronic documentation and progress reporting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ functional abilities to determine therapy needs and goals
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to address students’ academic and functional challenges
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services within the school environment
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain thorough records of student progress and provide necessary documentation for IEP meetings and compliance
- Serve as a resource and advocate for integrating therapeutic interventions within the classroom
