Bring your expertise in direct therapy, developing and implementing IEPs, and conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments. Collaborate closely with educators, students, and families to design interventions that help children succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Proficiency managing IEP documentation and processes
- Strong understanding of providing therapy in ASD classrooms
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Comfortable working on-site and collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to K-12 students in an ASD classroom
- Conduct standardized and functional assessments to inform intervention planning
- Collaborate in the development and execution of IEP goals
- Maintain timely and detailed progress notes and documentation
- Work alongside educators and parents to support student success and promote carryover of therapy goals
- Adapt and modify strategies to address students’ sensory, motor, and participation needs
