Occupational Therapist School Setting - New Haven, CT

This full-time role offers 32.5 hours per week, working in close partnership with dedicated educational teams in the Bridgeport, CT area, near New Haven. You’ll engage with diverse caseloads, tailor interventions to individual needs, and collaborate with educators and families to foster student development throughout the school year.
What we’re seeking:
- Valid OT licensure in Connecticut
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations (K-12)
- Strong knowledge of IEPs and progress documentation
- Skills in adapting therapy plans for remote (teletherapy) and onsite environments
- Compassionate, communicative, and adaptable team players
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and parents
- Home Health OT experience welcomed
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide targeted OT interventions to support student success
- Deliver services both in-person and virtually, depending on district needs
- Monitor and document student progress while regularly updating IEP goals
- Train school staff and parents on strategies to generalize therapy gains
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing school-based therapy
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative school environment
