School Occupational Therapist | New Milford, New Jersey

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience practicing in school environments or with pediatric populations
- Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and collaboration
- Comfort with both individual and group therapy sessions
- Up-to-date knowledge of OT best practices for school-age children
- Effective communication skills, both with children and adults
- A flexible, resourceful approach to the evolving needs of students and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ abilities to determine OT needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families on student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions
- Employ therapeutic techniques to support sensory, motor, and functional development
