- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to design and implement individualized therapeutic programs
- Organizational skills for completing documentation and managing caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ developmental, physical, and functional abilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Develop and implement therapy interventions tailored to the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support educational and therapeutic goals
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities
- Educate and support staff to integrate occupational therapy strategies within classroom routines
