Utilize your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to make a direct impact in a school environment just outside North Richland Hills. This role offers a manageable commitment of only 2 hours per week, perfect for professionals seeking meaningful work during the summer.
Your role centers on providing high-quality occupational therapy to a caseload of 54 direct students, in addition to consulting with 14 others. You’ll work directly with students, teachers, and other team members to help meet educational and developmental goals. In addition, you’ll prepare essential paperwork and participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to ensure compliance and support individualized student growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience delivering OT services in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and the ARD process
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload with time efficiency and professionalism
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT interventions to students in accordance with their individual education plans
- Provide consultative services and strategies to support teachers and staff
- Prepare, update, and maintain IEP paperwork with attention to detail
- Attend and participate in ARD meetings as a collaborative team member
- Ensure all services are delivered in compliance with established guidelines and timelines
