Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license
- Experience in school settings preferred (K-12)
- Strong understanding of individualized education program (IEP) processes
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and home health practices is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to suit multiple learning styles and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify developmental needs and establish goals
- Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions—onsite or via teletherapy as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Prepare and document required reports, progress notes, and data for IEP meetings
- Educate staff and families on occupational therapy interventions and strategies
- Stay current with best practices and mandates in school-based therapy
