Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students’ growth and skills development throughout the school semester! Provide essential Occupational Therapy services to learners from Kindergarten to high school in a collaborative, empowering environment near Norwalk, CT. This opportunity spans from now until the beginning of December, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
This role will work with a well-defined caseload:
- Elementary K-2: 9.5 direct therapy hours weekly, with opportunities for group sessions.
- Elementary 3-5: 9.5 direct therapy hours, also including small group work.
- Middle School: 4.5 direct therapy hours, with potential for some group treatment.
- High School: 1 direct therapy hour, serving one student.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Connecticut
- Experience working in school settings (K-12 preferred)
- Strong skills in student assessment, IEP documentation, and collaboration with educational teams
- Ability to adapt interventions for group and individual student needs
- Excellent communication, time management, and organization abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based OT services to students, promoting independence in academic and functional skills
- Document progress, prepare reports, and contribute to IEP meetings as required
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to foster student success
- Group and individual therapy delivery, using clinical judgment to shape session content
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school procedures
