Key Qualifications:
- Active OT license or COTA certification (required)
- Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment and intervention plans
- Experience with IEP processes and documentation is a plus
- Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced educational environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students, individually and in small groups
- Evaluate students to determine the need for OT interventions and develop tailored therapy plans
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, and related service providers to support student participation in school activities
- Maintain accurate documentation for assessments, progress reports, and IEP meetings in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Deliver training and resources to staff and families to extend therapeutic gains into daily routines
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing expertise and advocating for student needs
