Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to assess and develop individualized plans to support student needs
- Knowledge of IEP documentation and familiarity with assistive technologies
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ motor and functional needs within the school environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans to support students’ academic and functional success
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, including progress notes and required documentation for IEPs
- Provide consultation and in-service training as needed for staff on occupational therapy interventions
- Stay current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy
