What You'll Need:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Illinois
- Prior experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to each student's needs
- Current knowledge of best practices and compliance guidelines for school-based OT
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop customized treatment plans for students
- Work alongside teachers and support staff to target fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Document progress according to school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to student goals
- Provide both one-on-one and group therapy sessions within the school environment
- Engage in ongoing collaboration with parents, teachers, and other therapists
