This part-time contract position involves working directly with students to support their development, engagement, and independence in classroom and school activities. The assignment extends from August to early June, allowing you to make a meaningful impact throughout the academic year.
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Teaching License (CDE) is required
- Occupational Therapist (OT) endorsement is necessary
- Previous experience or strong interest in working within a school setting
- Ability to develop rapport with students of varying ages and needs
- Calm, resourceful, and adaptable in a dynamic educational environment
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite occupational therapy interventions for K-12 students
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student IEP goals
- Participate in student evaluations and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Document services provided and student progress
- Adapt strategies and interventions as student needs evolve
- Stay current with best practices in pediatric and school-based occupational therapy
