As an integral part of a self-contained SPED program, you’ll work with an age-diverse caseload—from early childhood through young adults—providing support and interventions to students who need it most.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy settings
- Prior experience or strong interest in special education programs
- Ability to manage caseloads of 18-25 students, ranging in age from 3 to 22
- Flexibility to work on-site and participate in in-person interviews
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services within a self-contained SPED classroom
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Support a variety of IEP needs tailored to each student’s unique goals
- Utilize innovative approaches including teletherapy when appropriate
