Occupational Therapist School Setting in Petaluma, CA

A contract occupational therapy opportunity is available for a highly motivated professional who enjoys working with school-aged children in an educational setting. This position is located near Petaluma, CA and runs from June 22 through July 17, providing the perfect short-term assignment for those seeking meaningful work and a summer schedule.
The role is structured for 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday, offering flexibility and a balanced work-life experience. As an Occupational Therapist, you will collaborate with educators and families, address student IEP goals, and help children achieve their fullest potential during ESY sessions.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Experience in a school-based OT setting is preferred
- Familiarity with documentation for IEPs and ESY programs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and encourage students
- Adaptable and able to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary and/or secondary students enrolled in ESY
- Facilitate fine motor, sensory, and self-care skill development according to IEP goals
- Communicate progress with faculty, parents, and support personnel
- Maintain accurate records and document student sessions
- Participate in team meetings as required
