You’ll be part of a collaborative special education team, working 33 hours per week to create impactful treatment plans, conduct thorough evaluations, and provide direct therapy. You’ll also educate and guide teachers and staff to ensure students receive the ongoing support they need in the classroom environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Occupational Therapist license
- Valid state licensure/certification for practice
- Prior experience within a school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ individual therapy needs and develop targeted goals
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to help students succeed in daily school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to support each student’s progress
- Provide training and resources for educators and staff on best practices for accommodating students with disabilities
- Document sessions and monitor each student’s progress towards goals
