The assignment will begin on September 8, 2026, and continue until the school completes an internal hire. Work five days per week, delivering care and support to students in a collaborative school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Occupational Therapy license required
- Experience or strong interest in providing OT services in school settings
- Familiarity with developmental, sensory, and physical therapy needs in children and adolescents
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to work with a variety of student caseloads and assignments as determined
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to assess developmental, sensory, and motor skills relevant to educational needs
- Develop and implement individual and group therapy programs tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student growth and participation in classroom activities
- Maintain detailed progress notes and data as required
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
- Adapt and modify routines and school environments to foster student participation and independence
