Occupational Therapist School Setting in Prospect Heights, IL
Make a genuine impact in students’ lives by providing occupational therapy services in an engaging educational environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a licensed Occupational Therapist seeking a steady Monday through Friday schedule from 7:55 AM to 2:55 PM. The assignment runs from mid-August through early June, aligning perfectly with the school year.
You’ll work with early childhood through second grade students, collaborating with educational teams to support student growth and development. While the exact caseload may vary, you can expect a diverse group of young learners eager to benefit from your expertise.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure
- Prior pediatric or school-based OT experience preferred
- Ability to adapt practices for students in early childhood through second grade
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience creating IEP goals and participating in team meetings
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services
- Document progress and maintain accurate records
- Develop individualized treatment plans and support IEP teams
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
This contract position offers the consistency of a full-time school week with built-in work-life balance. Please note, COTAs are not eligible for this role; only licensed OTs will be considered.
