School Occupational Therapist | Putney, Vermont

This district-wide contract position covers K-12 students across four buildings, offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for both Occupational Therapists and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
You’ll play a pivotal role in helping students develop essential life skills, working closely with teachers, families, and other support professionals. The district is open to applicants who are OTs or COTAs, with COTAs supporting 5th-12th grades and select 2nd-4th grade classrooms under the supervision of the district OT.
Qualifications:
- Valid Vermont OT Certification required
- Experience in school settings and with diverse age groups (K-12) is highly valued
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability, strong communication skills, and a student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group OT services to students in grades K-12
- Assess students’ needs and develop targeted intervention plans
- Maintain accurate records and document progress
- Provide consultative support and resources to education staff
- Assist in developing strategies to promote student independence and participation
