Occupational Therapist School Setting in Puyallup, WA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Washington or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience or genuine interest in working with K-12 students within a school setting
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Knowledge of IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes and documentation
- Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite occupational therapy services to students across various grade levels
- Assess students’ abilities and develop targeted intervention plans to support academic success and independence
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address students’ unique needs within the classroom environment
- Document evaluation findings, progress reports, and treatment plans in accordance with school and state requirements
- Offer guidance and education to staff and parents about supporting students’ functional skills
