Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at a welcoming Arizona school community. This contract opportunity is available immediately and runs through November 30th, with strong potential for extension. As you cover a leave, you'll work full time—Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM—making a meaningful difference every day.
You'll focus your expertise on a single school site, supporting a caseload of approximately 50-70 students from PreK through 6th grade. This is an excellent chance to build school-based experience, whether you're a seasoned therapy professional or looking to broaden your background in the educational environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- School-based OT/COTA experience preferred but not required
- Ability to manage caseloads of young children with diverse needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with educators and families
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive problem-solver mindset
Daily Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in PreK–6 settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Guide and educate staff and parents regarding student therapy needs and progress
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in student evaluations and contribute to team meetings
