Qualifications:
- Active or eligible Washington Department of Health Occupational Therapist License is required.
- Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate—School Occupational Therapist endorsement is necessary for delivering IEP-related services.
- Prior experience in a school-based OT role is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, families, and school staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to K–12 students based on individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment interventions, and track student progress in alignment with each student’s goals.
- Provide consultative support to teachers and parents regarding strategies, accommodations, and modifications.
- Maintain thorough, accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal education regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of educators and specialists.
