Desired Background & Skills:
- Active OSPI certification/licensure required
- Demonstrated experience in schools as an OT
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and compliance
- Skilled in school-based special education evaluations
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and manage a comprehensive caseload in partnership with school staff
- Lead and participate in special education evaluations, reevaluations, and IEP meetings
- Design, implement, and adjust individualized OT services, including setting appropriate goals, accommodations, and supports
- Deliver therapy and consultation for students in both general and special education settings
- Collaborate extensively with teachers, paraeducators, families, and support personnel to maximize student success
- Adapt materials, equipment, and classroom activities for diverse student needs
- Maintain accurate records, evaluation reports, and required documentation in a timely manner
- Analyze student progress data and adapt interventions accordingly
- Engage in staff meetings and school-based professional development activities
