School Occupational Therapist | Renton, Washington
Step into a rewarding role where your expertise supports students from preschool through 12th grade in achieving their fullest potential. This contract opportunity, based near vibrant Renton, WA, runs from September 2, 2026, through June 17, 2027, offering the chance to create a positive impact across a diverse school population.
Your schedule will typically be 37.5 hours per week, not to exceed 40, with an 8:00 am start time. End times may adjust based on school assignments, meetings, or specific needs. The caseload includes providing up to 950 direct service minutes per week, delivering therapy and support that addresses a variety of needs across the full span of Pre-K through high school students.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT license in Washington (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Ability to provide direct therapy services and collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Genuine interest in supporting the growth and development of children and adolescents
Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments, develop therapy plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student success
- Participate in meetings, contribute to team decisions, and adapt approaches as needed
- Manage daily schedule while ensuring direct service delivery requirements are met
