Occupational Therapist School Setting - Tacoma, WA

This full-time opportunity generally offers 37.5 hours per week with flexible daily start times around 8:00 a.m., adapting as needed to accommodate school assignments, meetings, and student needs. Your caseload may include up to 950 direct service minutes each week, allowing you to work closely with a range of students and collaborate with dedicated educators and support staff.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and valid state licensure required
- Experience with school-based OT services preferred
- Ability to adapt to varied schedules and locations within the district
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with IEP process and documentation
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations and ages
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs
- Assess, plan, and implement interventions to promote student success in classroom activities and daily routines
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students’ progress and recommendations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student performance
- Serve as a resource for promoting functional independence across school environments
