In this dynamic setting, you’ll adapt to varying school locations and caseloads, working directly with children and young adults aged 3 to 22 who have diverse disabilities. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping students access their education and achieve greater independence through individualized therapy and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license (OT) for the state
- Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to manage a flexible, changing caseload across several sites
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Dedication to empowering students with a variety of physical, sensory, and cognitive needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ functional abilities within the educational environment
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and staff
- Provide direct therapy services and consultative support in accordance with IEPs
- Monitor progress, adapt interventions, and maintain thorough documentation
- Travel to various school sites as assignments shift with staff transitions
