This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) is ideal for those passionate about working with children and adolescents, with caseloads assigned based on your preference for early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school students. You'll provide support primarily in general education and resource classrooms, with some involvement in self-contained special education settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license
- Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Background with sensory integration and use of goal-driven interventions and documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between two campuses (one campus per day, no mid-day travel required)
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students across different age groups, as assigned
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized plans and implement interventions
- Monitor student progress, maintain up-to-date documentation, and communicate progress with stakeholders
- Support students primarily in general education and resource classrooms, with occasional work in specialized settings
