Occupational Therapist School Setting in Roscoe, IL
Make a meaningful impact as an Occupational Therapist supporting students across two school sites on a full-time contract basis. This opportunity is perfect for those dedicated to helping students excel, with age groups and caseloads tailored to your preference: early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school. The position is structured for 37.5 hours each week onsite, following the school schedule, with no travel required between buildings during the workday. As the school year approaches, candidates are being interviewed now via Zoom.
Key Requirements:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
- Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations
- Knowledge of sensory integration and implementing student goals
- Ability to document progress and collaborate within educational teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to assigned students within general education, resource, and some self-contained special education classes
- Support students’ unique needs, focusing on skill development, sensory processing, and daily living goals
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy into classroom routines
- Maintain documentation, track student progress, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Work at two assigned school sites, spending each day at a single location for consistency
