Step into a meaningful role supporting the success and well-being of K–12 students as a School Occupational Therapist for the 2024–2025 academic year. Based in the Little Falls, MN area, this contract position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact by helping children and adolescents overcome physical, cognitive, and sensory challenges that may affect school participation.
As an Occupational Therapist in a school environment, you’ll collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow healthcare professionals to develop and enact individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs. Your expertise will be essential in fostering inclusive learning spaces and providing hands-on interventions and support.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Occupational Therapist license
- Valid state licensure/certification
- Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students with disabilities affecting school engagement and performance
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans and measurable goals
- Deliver direct therapy sessions and monitor students’ progress
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes carefully and efficiently
- Provide training and resources to teachers and staff for supporting students in classroom settings
- Engage collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and families to ensure student success
