Occupational Therapist School Setting in Ruston, LA

This part-time contract position is designed for a skilled professional prepared to jump in and support students across grade levels. The role focuses primarily on completing re-evaluations, conducting PreK evaluations on Fridays, handling IEPs at least one day each week, and providing supervision to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
The contract is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue for one to two months, with the possibility of ongoing COTA supervision after the contract period.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Louisiana is required
- Previous school-based OT experience is highly preferred
- Proficiency with virtual platforms and remote service delivery
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to supervise and guide COTA staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform OT re-evaluations for students across all grade levels via virtual sessions
- Conduct PreK evaluations on Fridays
- Allocate at least one weekly day to complete Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Supervise and support COTA assigned to the caseload
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to best practices for teletherapy services
- Collaborate with educational teams, families, and support staff to meet students’ therapy needs
