Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Arizona (or ability to obtain)
- Prior experience working in a school environment strongly preferred
- Ability to design and implement IEPs and therapeutic interventions tailored to student needs
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students of varying abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ needs and present levels of function
- Develop and deliver therapy sessions individually or in group settings according to IEP goals
- Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and required documentation per district protocols
- Provide consultation and training to teachers and support staff to facilitate students’ access to the curriculum
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert input on accommodations and modifications
- Engage families in the therapeutic process to support student success beyond the classroom
