Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. This full-time assignment runs from September 1, 2026, through January 15, 2027, making a meaningful difference in a school community near Saint Charles, IL. You’ll work onsite, collaborating with educational staff and empowering students to achieve greater independence and participate more fully in their academic and daily activities.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
- Previous experience in a school setting (required)
- Comfortable working exclusively onsite—remote options are not available
- Confident supporting the needs of high school students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Not accepting applications from COTAs for this position
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and needs within the high school environment
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Consult and collaborate regularly with teachers, support staff, and families
- Document evaluation results, progress, and service logs promptly and accurately
- Provide direct therapy services that support students’ educational and functional performance
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional insights on behalf of each student
