Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active and current OT license in the state (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience working in a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy, IEP processes, and relevant federal/local regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional organizational and documentation skills
What you’ll do:
- Assess and evaluate students’ functional abilities and needs within the educational environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans aligned with student IEPs
- Consult with teachers and parents to adapt classroom activities, recommend accommodations, and provide strategies to support academic achievement
- Document all services provided and maintain ongoing progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings to communicate recommendations and progress
- Deliver both direct and indirect therapy services
- Contribute to a positive school culture and advocate for student access and independence
