Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Minnesota Occupational Therapist license required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations, from elementary through high school
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Exceptional organizational abilities and adaptability across various educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence
- Assess students referred for OT services and participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct evaluations, write thorough reports, and help set attainable goals for each student
- Provide training and guidance to teachers and staff regarding interventions and classroom strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal regulations
- Engage actively with school teams to ensure student needs are met and progress is tracked effectively
