Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in California
- Experience in school-based OT settings preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development, goal tracking, and related service delivery
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet varied student needs across ages and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with all relevant state and federal guidelines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Assess student abilities, develop targeted treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to integrate interventions
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify student needs and recommend services
- Educate and coach school staff and families on strategies to facilitate student development
- Maintain accurate records and timely data entry to support compliance requirements
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to support student growth
