Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license (OT)
- Previous experience in school settings, home health, teletherapy, or healthcare strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt your approach to individual student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Compassion and patience when supporting students and families
- Knowledge of relevant IEP processes, therapy documentation, and data collection
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of student needs and abilities
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with educational teams
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions in-person at schools, virtually through teletherapy, or as needed in home health settings
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable evaluation data and reports
- Track student progress and document interventions efficiently and accurately
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Stay informed of best practices in school-based occupational therapy
