Make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ growth and development as part of a dedicated school-based therapy team near San Tan Valley, AZ. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic OT or COTA seeking hands-on experience in a school environment while covering a leave, with the possibility of extension through additional assignments.
You’ll work with a diverse caseload of 50-70 students from pre-K through 6th grade at a single, welcoming campus. Your expertise will help ensure every student gets the support they need to thrive.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Arizona licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Pediatric or school-based OT/COTA experience preferred
- Strong collaboration, flexibility, and communication skills
- Commitment to supporting students’ functional and academic achievement
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and provide recommendations
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school protocols
- Foster a welcoming, positive environment for students from PK-6th grade
This assignment begins ASAP and runs through November 30th, following a Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm schedule (over 30 hours weekly). You’ll enjoy benefits, hourly pay, and 401K participation, enhancing both your professional and personal well-being.
