Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure for practice in Minnesota
- Experience working with children and adolescents in early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, educators, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches for diverse learning and developmental needs
- Dedication to fostering student independence and confidence
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ abilities and develop individualized plans to address physical, sensory, or motor skill challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and caregivers to integrate therapeutic strategies in the classroom and beyond
- Support students in achieving academic and social goals by improving fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care abilities
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services across multiple school environments
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP planning and meetings
