Occupational Therapist School Setting in Scottsdale, AZ
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across preschool through 8th grade as an Occupational Therapist for the 2026/2027 academic year. In this position, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team using a workload model, providing approximately 15 to 20 hours of direct therapy each week while managing both direct and consultative caseloads (typically between 40 to 60 students). This structured approach offers clarity and balance as you help students reach their fullest potential.
As a vital resource on campus, you’ll also supervise 1–2 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), ensuring the consistent and high-quality delivery of services.
To excel in this role, candidates should bring:
- Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license
- Valid IVP fingerprint card
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse caseloads and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort supervising COTAs and supporting their growth
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct and consultative OT services to students in preschool–8th grade
- Assessing and evaluating students’ needs in collaboration with educators and families
- Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans
- Completing thorough evaluations, progress monitoring, and compliance documentation
- Overseeing and mentoring COTAs to ensure best practices
