School Occupational Therapist | Scranton, Pennsylvania

With an initial commitment of 21 hours per week across 2-3 days, this contract role offers the exciting possibility to expand to a full five-day schedule over the calendar year. Ideal candidates bring experience in school-based settings and a passion for working with younger children. You’ll collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to develop individualized strategies that encourage students’ independence and participation in school routines.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapy license in Pennsylvania
- Experience working in school environments, particularly with young learners
- Comfortable providing or able to obtain current Pennsylvania clearances
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to deliver onsite therapy and support
- Positive, flexible attitude and eagerness to grow with the role
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop interventions for early childhood students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to set and achieve goals for students
- Provide direct and consultative OT services, adapting strategies for individual needs
- Document progress and support compliance with school-based therapy standards
- Foster an inclusive, supportive environment for students and families
