An exciting contract position is available for two dedicated Occupational Therapists to support K-12 learners in a vibrant educational setting near Silver Spring, MD. This full-time position allows you to work collaboratively with students, educators, and families to help students reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for Maryland (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience working in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement effective therapy tailored for K-12 students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to a diverse K-12 student body based on IEPs and identified needs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress toward therapy goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to integrate therapy strategies into classrooms
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert recommendations and support for student success
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with all state and federal guidelines
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student progress at school and at home
