Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Recent experience providing occupational therapy services in a school-based setting
- Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and implementation
- Comfortable working with children and adolescents from kindergarten through high school
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule across various school locations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with educators, families, and other specialists
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and provide direct therapy to K-12 students, targeting areas such as motor skills, self-care, social participation, and classroom access
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to maximize student progress and participation in the general education curriculum
- Maintain thorough records of assessments, treatment interventions, and outcomes
- Travel between multiple school sites within an organized geographic area
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as needed
