This contract position covers a maternity leave, providing full-time OT support across two elementary schools. You’ll make a meaningful impact on an established caseload of approximately 60 students, collaborating with educators and families to deliver outstanding therapy services.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or working with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a diverse and dynamic caseload
Primary Duties:
- Deliver individualized and group therapy to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and consultations with teachers, staff, and families
- Contribute to a supportive environment that helps each student achieve their potential
- Assist with transitions, modifications, and accommodations in the classroom setting
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school and state standards
