School Occupational Therapist | Skillman, New Jersey

This contract role focuses on providing essential OT services, both within the school environment and through home health visits as needed. Located near Skillman, NJ, you’ll work with learners to advance their functional abilities, contributing positively to their academic and personal growth.
In this position, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact by delivering intervention and support to students six times per month, each session lasting 25 minutes. Your role will allow for a balance between collaboration with educators and individualized therapy, ensuring each student receives the targeted services they need to thrive.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Occupational Therapist state license
- Experience with school-based OT practices and intervention methods
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for diverse student populations
- Familiarity with home health OT services and ability to adapt approaches for virtual or in-home support
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to students according to prescribed frequency and duration
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs in both school and home settings
- Collaborate with educators to integrate therapy strategies within the classroom
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in team meetings, including IEP and parent conferences as needed
- Support student transition and skill-building for increased independence
