Seeking a dedicated professional to support students across a K-12 district for a contract Occupational Therapy position. You’ll be working throughout four school buildings, delivering essential OT services to students and collaborating closely with educators and support staff. This role runs full-time, approximately 35-37.5 hours per week, from late August through mid-June, providing consistent opportunities to make a significant impact throughout the academic year.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy certification for Vermont
- Experience providing OT services within a school environment is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with a variety of K-12 needs and developmental stages
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Team player with the ability to manage a caseload across multiple campuses
- Comfortable with both direct therapy and consultation in educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT interventions to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct thorough evaluations and re-evaluations, documenting findings clearly
- Develop and implement IEP goals in partnership with the educational team
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to maximize student success
- Travel between four schools within the district as needed
- Support students in addressing physical, sensory, or cognitive barriers to learning
- Maintain compliance with state and district documentation requirements
