School Occupational Therapist | Springfield, Vermont
Make a meaningful impact as a district-wide Occupational Therapist in a supportive and collaborative educational setting. This contract opportunity serves students across multiple schools, providing essential services to help young learners achieve their greatest potential.
You will work full-time (35-37.5 hours per week) throughout the academic year, from late August through mid-June, collaborating with educators, families, and other specialists to deliver high-quality, student-centered occupational therapy. Your expertise will benefit students in grades K-12 across four engaging school buildings.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Current Occupational Therapist license and Vermont OT certificate required
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school-based setting desirable
- Strong ability to manage a district-wide caseload
- Effective communication and collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to individualized and evidence-based interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel between school buildings to assess and provide direct therapy for students with diverse needs
- Develop, implement, and regularly update IEP goals and interventions
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring
- Consult with teachers and staff, recommending adaptive strategies and supports
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
