Occupational Therapist School Setting in Springfield, VT

This contract opportunity runs the full school year, from late August through mid-June, and offers the flexibility of accepting either a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for upper elementary and secondary caseloads or a qualified Occupational Therapist for a district-wide role.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Vermont OT Certification is required
- Experience working within school environments, including knowledge of IEPs and educational accommodations
- Comfort providing therapy and consultative services to a diverse student body (K-12)
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and other service providers
- Ability to adapt interventions to different age groups and support varying needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services for students in accordance with IEP goals
- Partner with teachers, paraprofessionals, and school teams to integrate therapy into classroom activities
- Conduct thorough evaluations, document progress, and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary and IEP meetings, offering expertise for improved learning access
- Provide support and supervision for COTA staff, if applicable
