Occupational Therapist School Setting in Springfield, VT

You’ll provide pivotal support throughout a district with four school buildings. The OT role covers the entire K-12 range, while the COTA provides direct service to students in grades 5-12 and select classrooms in grades 2-4, collaborating closely under supervisory guidance. Flexible arrangements are available—virtual candidates will be considered for pitches and further discussion.
What you need to bring:
- Valid VT OT or COTA certification
- Previous experience in a school-based OT or COTA position highly preferred
- Ability to support and adapt interventions for a wide range of ages and developmental levels
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Your role will involve:
- Delivering direct and consultative OT services to K-12 students
- Supporting IEP implementation, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Collaborating with educators and other professionals to maximize student success
- Traveling between four district buildings as needed
- Providing guidance and mentorship if you are serving as the supervising OT
Position specifics:
- Full-time, 35-37.5 hours per week
- Academic calendar from August 26, 2026, to June 14, 2027
