Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice occupational therapy
- Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly regarded
- Ability to adapt and tailor interventions for diverse student needs
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Must be able to fulfill all onsite requirements; remote or virtual options are not available
- Please note: COTAs are not eligible for this position, as supervision is not available
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized occupational therapy plans for students
- Conduct assessments and write detailed reports to support IEP and 504 processes
- Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Monitor and document student progress, updating goals as needed
- Instruct students in exercises and techniques to improve their fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
- Participate in team meetings and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations or modifications
