A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to provide essential services to two students in grades 5 and 6. This is a part-time position, lasting through May 2026, and offers the chance to work closely with a dynamic education team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a valid Georgia OT license and GaPSC certification (both are required)
- Previous experience within a school or educational setting is preferred
- Experience working with students with disabilities is highly valued
- Ability to provide onsite, in-person services (remote work is not an option)
- All required clearance documentation must be completed prior to start
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services, 30 minutes weekly for each student, per IEP requirements
- Assess and address needs in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and participation in the classroom
- Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and school support staff
- Recommend accommodations and modifications to promote student engagement and independence
- Monitor student progress, maintain detailed documentation, and participate actively in team meetings
- Ensure all services comply with legal and educational standards
