Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Arizona
- Experience in school-based therapy
- Strong ability to conduct and interpret assessments
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with teachers, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs and 504 plans
- Exceptional organizational skills and a flexible approach to supporting students and staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed screenings and assessments to identify students’ needs
- Accurately interpret and present assessment findings to the IEP team and families
- Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and/or 504 plans in collaboration with staff and parents, and monitor their progress
- Deliver direct, evidence-based occupational therapy services to students
- Provide guidance, resources, and support to teachers and any assigned Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Document services and maintain compliance with all school and federal guidelines
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for every student
