Teletherapy - Occupational Therapist Needed In Michigan K-12
We are looking for a dedicated and qualified Virtual Occupational Therapist to provide teletherapy services to K–12 students across Michigan during the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, remote position offers the opportunity to support students in a school-based setting while collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Assignments will be matched based on district needs, clinician experience, and overall fit to promote successful outcomes for both students and school staff. Compensation for this position can range from $40-$50 an hour.
Caseload Details
Services provided to K–12 students
Specific caseloads and school assignments will be discussed during the interview process
Caseload size, student needs, and service requirements may vary by grade level and district placement
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
Valid Michigan Occupational Therapy license
Appropriate Michigan school-based credentials/certifications, as required by the district
Prior school-based experience preferred
Teletherapy or virtual service experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
Conduct virtual occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services
Support students with fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, self-care, and functional needs
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Provide recommendations and strategies to support student participation and success in the educational environment
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
Participate in virtual meetings, including IEP, eligibility, and team meetings
Screening & Credentialing Requirements
Completion of all district onboarding and credentialing requirements
Successful background check and fingerprint clearance, as required by state and district policies
Verification of Michigan OT licensure and applicable school-based credentialing requirements
Participation in an internal eligibility interview
